There is...

I have been feeling under the weather for quite sometime now. It is unhealthy, yes but I just can't help it. There has been a lot going on with work and with some friends (some being 2) which really hit me. HARD.

The last thing I want my friends to do to me is to be dishonest. Well, I believe nobody wants a dishonest friend. As much as I want to understand why these 2 friends of mine kept certain things from me, I still cant help but feel cheated. For one, its not my thing to keep important things that matter to my friend at bay. There are even instances that I take blame for being overly honest and straight forward, for taking the hit for my friend, etc. And so, I cannot help but be saddened by the fact that these 2 people decided to keep me uninformed about matters that involve me. No, this is not gossip. I am not involved in office gossip or anything of that sort. However, it is something I do not wish to give details on.

As for work, I'd rather be quiet and be thankful that I am blessed with it. Its tough, YES. VERY VERY tough. But I believe that there is light somewhere out there. There is hope. And I am holding on to the hope that that light will be visible soon. :)

If there is one thing the silence from July 16 to date taught me, it is humility. I have been humbled by all that has happened (its like a roller coaster, mind you!). At the end of the day, what won was the humility of a teachable child. And so I thank God for helping me win this battle. Truly, there are treasures in trials! :)

Psalm 16

Writing has always been my first love. No matter how I try to veer away from it, my heart always finds its way back to the keyboard. :) Today, I make a promise to myself that I will start cultivating my writing skills. I will do it will all my passion and will never again try to avoid it just to do other things. :)

During my prayer reflection this morning, I read about the book of Psalms. It said that Psalms reflects our day to day emotions and even though it was written centuries back, the praises, mourning, joy and reflections still apply. It indeed, still does! And so naturally, I went on to read the Psalms. Not knowing where to start, I got the date today and searched for Psalms 16:

Psalm 16
English Standard Version (ESV)
You Will Not Abandon My Soul
A Miktam[a] of David.
16 Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    I have no good apart from you.”

As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
    in whom is all my delight.[b]

The sorrows of those who run after[c] another god shall multiply;
    their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
    or take their names on my lips.

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
    you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
    in the night also my heart instructs me.[d]
I have set the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being[e] rejoices;
    my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
    or let your holy one see corruption.[f]

11 You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
    at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

I thank God for such a timely message through this Psalm! It reminded me of His unwavering love and that no matter how confusing things are right now, He is always before me. :) I will never forget this day and I will never forget Psalm 16. Thank you Lord for everything! I pray that my writing bring glory to You always! Cheers to new beginnings! :)
